Keep reading for some brilliant and exciting things to do across Berkshire...

In need of some ‘me time’

Treat yourself to a day of relaxation at Wokingham’s most luxurious spa! Nirvana Spa is the only spa in the UK to offer Celestial Floatation; lose yourself whilst floating on the mineral rich pool and looking up at the starlit night sky. Nirvana Spa also offers a range of more traditional spa treatments like massages, facials and so much more, as well as a mouth-watering restaurant.

Do your best to escape!

For the thrill seekers amongst you, this one will make for the perfect day out! Once you’ve chosen which experience to go for, from the four adrenaline-charged rooms on offer – ESCAPE! Well, give it your best shot. This isn’t an experience you’ll want to forget in a rush. Well, that is, if you make it out…

Riverside entertainment

The Mill prides itself on being the only dinner theatre in the UK. Once you arrive you will make your way to the riverside Water Wheel Bar for a pre-lunch/dinner drink, before moving into the restaurant for your buffet-style two-course meal and finally, you’ll enter the intimate 215 seat auditorium to enjoy the show. All shows are unique and created on the premises.

A little tipple!

Enjoy a day out at one of the UK’s most successful wine estates. You’ll be guided through the estate from the walled garden to the winery and at each stop, on your tour, you’ll be offered a different wine to taste. By the end of the tour you will have tasted 8 different wines, all produced at Stanlake Park. There is a Cellar Shop on site, which will give you the opportunity to purchase the wines you have tasted, as well as a selection of gifts.

One for the true beer connoisseur!

We’ve told you about a Vineyard tour, now for an all exciting Brewery tour! Windsor & Eton Brewery was opened back in 2010 by four local gentlemen. The brewery offers different tours; the ‘Duke Street Experience’ a fun and informative tour about how beer is made and the ‘Brew Masters’ tour for the true beer connoisseurs amongst you, as well as offering Corporate tours.

Experience Windsor by water

Take in the stunning sights of Windsor aboard one of the French Brother’s double decker riverboats. Choose either a 40 minute or 2 hour tour and enjoy the famous sights of Windsor along the way including the best views Windsor Castle, Boveney Lock, Eton College and so much more. Departing from Windsor Promenade, the tours depart frequently throughout the day.

A day at the races

Why not enjoy a day or evening at the races? Both Windsor and Ascot Racecourses offer stunning surrounds and an exciting atmosphere, with fixtures running from April to October each year. If you opt for Windsor Racecourse, French Brothers River Cruises offer a boat trip to and from the racecourse with a fully stocked bar on board!

Take a swing at it

Berkshire is swarming with places to play golf, so you’ll be spoilt for choice! Billingbear Park Golf Course, Sonning Golf Club and Bird Hills Golf Centre are just a few of our favourites, so if you’re a bit of a dab hand at golf, why not spend a day at one of Berkshire’s many golf courses.

Feel like royalty

Perhaps one of the most famous landmarks in Berkshire, Windsor Castle gives us an insight into what royalty feels and looks like! From the State Apartments to Queen Mary’s Dollhouse, every part of the castle is awe-inspiring, with the option to have an audio tour, so you can learn about the history of the castle, the 1992 Windsor Castle fire and so much more. There are plenty of gift shops on the way around, so you can leave with a stunning souvenir.

Swing from the trees

Any adventurers out there? If so, Go Ape is most definitely for you. With the highest platform being 13 metres and the longest zip line being 160 metres, this one is certainly not for the faint-hearte. As well as these exhilarating elements, you will also be faced with a double Tarzan swing, wobbly bridges and other difficult obstacles to overcome. This is an experience you won’t be forgetting in a rush.

Acres of beauty

Cliveden is the National Trust’s most popular paid for attraction, set amongst acres of stunning grounds, Cliveden is perfect for a sunny day out. If you bring a picnic along with you, you can bathe in the sunshine whilst enjoying a glass of bubbly, surrounded by picturesque landscaped gardens. There is also an impressive spa at Cliveden, if you fancy treating yourself.

Well, that rounds things up, as we’ve covered everything from a treetop adventure to a relaxing spa day or a brewery tour, so you’ll be spoilt for choice when deciding how to spend your weekends and evenings from now on!
