“Having worked for Prospect for 15years or so, I have certainly witnessed some big changes within the market place and have experienced many challenges within an ever changing property landscape.
After the Government’s stance on the property market in England, I felt it was important to provide the general public with an accurate indication of what has been happening in the weeks following lockdown.
It’s been a positive and very refreshing period, we are certainly dealing with high levels of pent up demand, having registered lots of new buyers, that fortunately have not been financially affected by Covid-19. We have seen a mixture of first time buyers looking for their first home, local clients with properties to sell and keen to still make a move for a number of reasons, more space being the biggest factor. Investment buyers have inevitably started to dip their toes back into the water, with a number of smaller flats across the town being the main focus for them so far.
With safety very much at the forefront of our minds, the way in which we work has changed. We are sharing more video content of the properties that we have for sale, putting further emphasis on making sure each and every buyer has seen all the finer details of the properties that they wish to view, prior to them actually walking through the door, effectively making every viewing, the final viewing, no surprises, no feedback that the third bedroom is too small, or the garden is too overlooked. By covering all bases prior to the first appointment, has resulted in our viewing to offer ratio dropping drastically. This has given ourselves and our vendors that confidence that we are leaving the office for the highest quality buyers and viewings only.
So all in all some real stand out positives, long may it continue...”
