The local housing market in Warfield

Our market update in August


There is normally a seasonal slowdown in housing market activity over the summer months, as both buyers and sellers turn their attention to summer holidays. But this year, home movers have put more property on the market and have agreed more sales than in any month for over ten years according to Rightmove’s August House Price Index.

The post-lockdown surge of activity is still accelerating and is believed to continue to do so in the run up to the 31st March stamp duty holiday deadline.

We’ve had an amazing August too here at Prospect Warfield, with over 57 new buyers registering with us last month for homes in the local area and conducted over 198 viewings, resulting in 16 sales.

Thanks to the excellent schools and beautiful countryside, Warfield has always been a desirable location for movers. In the past couple of months, we’ve found that a lot more buyers relocating from London are now moving to the area as well.

Great news for sellers and means that buyers must act fast when they find a home they love, as it won’t be around for long!

Warfield is a small rural village that attracts many families that want more of a quiet lifestyle. The main amenity in Warfield is the Tesco Superstore, which is also home to the Warfield Parish Council, hairdressers, dry cleaners and of course, the only estate agency in Warfield - Prospect! As Warfield is situated on the edge of Bracknell, you don’t need to travel too far to benefit from the attractions and hustle and bustle of a larger town centre.
