Crowthorne is a small village in the Bracknell Forest district of Berkshire. The area is best known for the exceptional Wellington Collage, a large independent school. The old idyllic village is less than 40 miles from central London and has excellent road links. The historic town offers a lovely sense of community along with picturesque country walks.

If you’re a bit of a foodie, Crowthorne offers lovely pubs and places to eat. The Prince is in the heart of Crowthorne and has a family friendly and welcoming feel – a great place to head if you’re new to the area and want to meet new people. Another great spot is Don Beni, an Italian restaurant which is a favourite amongst Prospect staff.

Leisure facilities

Golfers will rejoice, as Crowthorne is home to the excellent East Berkshire Golf Club, as well as being in close proximity to Downshire Golf Complex and Sand Martins Golf Club. If it’s a state-of-the-art health and fitness club you’re looking for, look no further than Wellington Health and Fitness Club, which includes a swimming pool, gym, indoor climbing wall, tennis courts, squash courts, and an array of courses and classes led by professionals.

Swinley Forest is nearby, offering scenic walks and biking routes as well as the fantastic Lookout Discovery Centre and adventure playpark. For little thrill seekers, there’s even a Go Ape Tree Top challenge within the forest, which provides the ultimate family adventure or birthday treat for the kids.
